back to the maps and heaviest rain from san francisco stretching through oregon and washington state. here's the bay area radar coming out of san jose and a good swathe of moisture directly overhead to sfo back to san jose n toward santa cruz and heavy downpours to northern california, pull the picture out farther and once the moisture races up the mountains right around sierra, nevada, it will be snow. two to three feet of snow. 5500 feet in elevation. look at the snow pile up. the next 48 hours and the dark shade of purple is over a foot. that's closer to 20 inches, and thinking of 20 maybe up to 36 inches of snow and two to three feet is what we'll get. more rain toward portland that stretches to seattle, too. it will be a heavy downpour day and all of central washington and in toward oregon also. >> back across the east coast we're looking at things warming up just a bit especially when you get into areas around the southeast, but it will take a day or so. temperatures still on the cold side from northern florida, below freezing and by thursday morning, everyone on the east coast
